In Tbilisi, Georgia from 5-6th December first kick-off meeting of all participants was held. Main goal of this project is update of present regional model and building of dynamic model of whole region, in order to tackle with stability problems in regional network. EKC is engaged as model integrator in this project.

Study was done in cooperation with Energy Institute "Hrvoje Pozar", from Zagreb and in frame of SECI.

Study is to analyze performance of integrated power system of United Arab Emirates phase III started. In this phase feasibility of connection of FEWA (Fujeirah) to already successfully connected ADWEA (Abu Dhabi) and DEWA (Dubai) and SEWA (Sarjah) emirates. EKC signed the contract with EDF-CIST who is leader of this project.

EKC and “Nikola Tesla” Institute signed the contract with Elektromreza Srbije for dynamic model building of Electric Power System of Serbia. Main objective of the study is to collect all necessary data for Serbian power system and to build dynamic model for short and mid term dynamic analyses, and data base that corresponds to it. The model will be developed for two software tools currently in use in EMS: PSS/E and DIGSILENT. This project is done in cooperation with “Nikola Tesla” Institute.

Miroslav Vukovic started his duty as General Manager of EKC. As part of transformation process in EKC new general manager was appointed. He has vast experience in power network planning and analysis, gained as project manager or leading engineer in numerous projects on local and international level. His specialty is management of consulting projects and teams involving international partners. Member of many international bodies and working groups. Graduated in 1980 as Electrical Engineer and in 1985 M.Sc. degree in Faculty of Electrical Engineering in Sarajevo.
