The aim of the project is to realize ENTSO-E’s Mid-term Adequacy Forecast - MAF 2016 and on this project ENTSO-E secretariat, several TSOs and consultants are engaged.

Within cooperation between RTE and EKC, EKC supports RTE in realization of the project encompassing preparation for Antares simulations, run and analyses of results of Antarès simulations

The methodology to prepare and compile ENTSO-E’s Mid-term Adequacy Forecast (MAF) 2016 is set up by ENTSO-E. This methodology is applied in the project.

Type of services provided:

  • Analysis of input data, collected by ENTSO-E for all ENTSO-E countries for the MAF 2016, proposal of adapted modelling if required to accommodate the possible lack of data. Comparison between input data of the MAF and input data of the French Generation Adequacy Report
  • Preparation and calibration of Antares simulations as required by the MAF 2016 methodology
  • Analysis of the Antares simulation outcomes as required by the MAF 2016 methodology
  • Contribution to the MAF 2016 report drafting, with respect to the Antarès result presentation and interpretation
