The objective of grid compliance testing is to specify all necessary on-site tests, to define criteria for compliance as well as to conduct specified on-site tests in order to conclude whether TPP Stanari complies with technical requirements for issuing Final Operational Notification.
The compliance testing process comprises the following activities:
- Creation of testing protocol for TPP Stanari which considers definition of detailed testing program that takes into account its technical specifics
- Performing of on-site testing – The following on-site tests has been performed within the project:
- Active power control
- Test of governor frequency response insensitivity
- Test of frequency response dead band and droop
- Test of full primary control response
- Voltage control
- Test of reactive power capability
- Test of Over-excitation and Under-excitation limiters performance
- Test of excitation system step response (open circuit)
- Test of excitation system step response (on-load)
- Test of Power System Stabilizer
- Test of tripping to houseload
- Test of signals, communication and control
- Validation of simulation model
- Creation of grid compliance testing report based on which the final operational notification for TPP Stanari is issued
