The objective of the study comprises three main tasks:

  • performing the analysis on current surpluses/deficits and cleared energy prices realized in first half of 2015 for South East Europe (SEE) countries and Turkey;
  • monitoring of generation/grid development with surplus/deficit analysis for SEE countries and Turkey till 2025;
  • developing an electricity market model and performing a study for energy exchanges and price forecasting for SEE countries and Turkey in 2020 and 2025 as target years.

The first Study was completed in October 2015, with regular updates to be performed every six months until 2017, on the basis of constant monitoring and analyses of the changes in SEE region and Turkey.
