This study includes short-circuit calculation in transmission grid of Montenegro and finding proper measures for their decrease to acceptable level. The calculations have been performed for selected target years. In connection points to distribution grid (medium voltage busbars, 35kV and 10kV, in substations 110/x), in cases when short-circuit currents are greater than breaking capabilities of distribution equipment, following measures for their decrease to acceptable level have been analyzed:

  • separation of medium voltage bus bars
  • installation of reactor on high-voltage side
  • installation of reactor on medium-voltage side
  • replacing of existing transformers 110/x with new one, with higher impedances

Based on results from this study, CGES and distribution system operator should make common decision about measures which should be applied.
