Objective of the Study is connection of new generation block G7 in TPP Tuzla (estimated installed power 450 MW) to the transmission grid of Bosnia and Herzegovina taking into consideration transmission development plans of 400, 220 and 110 kV network until 2017.

The connection Study has been performed to enable electricity delivery into EPS of B&H with respect of security and economic criteria of connection.

The scope of the Study was determination of needed electromechanical and control parameters of the planned block in whole, with respect of stationary and dynamic conditions and background which has to be given to Investor and equipment producer.

As a result of the dynamic analyzes, range of suitable electromechanical and control parameters has been presented.

Besides afore mentioned, exchange directions between EPS of B&H and other EPSs are defined (in case of electricity surplus export direction and in case of electricity lack import direction were defined) with notification of loading level of internal and tie-lines. Pumping storage power plants have been taken into consideration for lack of energy regime.

The results of calculations have notified short circuit values increasing in EPS of B&H, as well as the influence of new block on Critical Clearing Time reduction.

For potential connection variant of new block G7 TPP Tuzla, investment analyses into transmission network have been performed with respect of maximum engagement of the new production unit. In other words, all necessary investments into transmission network of EPS B&H have been estimated.

Taking into the consideration that the investors decided to change the parameters of the generation from the initially specified, the Study (Elaborat) has been updated with the calculations for the new parameters of the generation unit. Within the detailed dynamic analyse, the dependence of the dynamic parameters of the generation unit related to the power factor change is examined. In this sense theoretical and empirical approach to the analysis of this dependence is applied.
