Connection Study of SPP Briska Gora on the Transmission Network of Montenegro

Client: CGES AD (Montenegro)

Type: Study (Transmission, Generation, Renewables)

Finishing date: October 2019 (December 2019)

Team: Bosko Sijakovic - Project Manager, S. Markovic - Consultant, M. Kostic

The objective of the analyzes is to examine the Variant 4 of the solar power plant connection Briska Gora (250MW), as well as to propose the most acceptable solution for power plant connection taking into account technical capabilities of transmission system and benefit/cost.

Within the Variant 4 of the SPP Briska Gora connection there are two phases:

  • Phase I – connection of SPP Briska Gora (50MW) to SS Ulcinj
  • Phase II – connection of SPP Briska Gora (additional 200MW) to SS Virpazar and SS Podgorica 5.

In both phases solar power plant of 50MW is connected to SS Ulcinj, while in the second phase connection of additional 200MW is planned via 110kV OHLs to SS Virpazar and SS Podgorica 5.

The main objective of the Study is to propose and approve, using calculation models, under which condition is possible to connect solar power plant to the Transmission System of Montenegro within all assumed operational regimes.

Type of services provided:
