The main task of this study is to analyze dynamic stability and power quality indices of the Macedonian power system after connection of WPP Bogdanci. Operational conditions of WPP Bogdanci have been checked in the terms of compatibility with Macedonian grid code and corresponding measures have been defined in the case of non-compliance. The following tasks and analyses have been performed:

  • Technical characteristics of wind generator units in WPP Bogdanci
  • Integration of dynamic simulation model of WPP Bogdanci into regional SEE dynamic model
  • Transient stability – Verification of the wind generator fault-ride-through capability through various voltage dip simulations (close and remote faults)
  • Mid-term stability – Stability assessment after large disturbances in the Macedonian power system
  • Short-term and long-term voltage stability assessment
  • Small signal stability assessment
  • Assessment of power quality indices in connection point – Voltage flickers (normal and switching operation), harmonic distortion.

Type of services provided:

  • Description of wind generator characteristics
  • Dynamic model integration
  • Transient stability analyses
  • Mid-term stability analyses
  • Voltage stability analyses
  • Small signal stability analyses
  • Power quality analyses
