The Energy Assistance Program for Armenia considers following consulting tasks for the Armenian TSO (EPSO), Energy Institute (SRIE), and other stakeholders:
- Technical assistance to conduct a GTMax and a Transmission Planning Study that Optimizes the Armenian High Voltage Network within selected Scenarios that Integrate the Armenian and Georgian High Voltage Networks
- Organize and Conduct a Workshop on the Benefits of and Requirements for the Use of Wide Area Monitoring Systems (WAMS) and Phasor Measurement Unit (PMU) Technologies
- Prepare the ENTSO-e based methodology for the Congestion Management, in a form of Business Process Manual for Calculating Net Transfer Capacity (NTC), and organize the dedicated workshops and trainings
- Confirm and Verify a 2012 Dynamic Model of the Armenian Transmission Network
- Conduct Training on System Control Standards and Technical Grid Code Elements in Europe, present European Network Codes, as elements of foreseen Armenian Grid Code
- Organize workshop, training and a Study Tour in Europe, concerning Planning, Design and Operational Considerations for a HVDC/ Back-to-Back Station Connecting the Armenian and Georgian Networks.
