Main objective of the study was to analyze compliance of solar power plant (SPP) Trebinje (152.3MW) with the Grid Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina, at selected point of common coupling suggested by the Investor. In order investigate the compliance of the SPP with Grid Code requirements, following activities have been performed:

  • SPP modeling and integration of the simulation model into the regional dynamic model in PSS®E and DIgSILENT PowerFactory software tools
  • Steady state analysis: Load flow and voltage profile analysis, N-1 contingency analysis, analysis of influence on active power losses, voltage regulation and reactive power control possibility assessment at PCC
  • Short circuit contribution analysis
  • Transient stability analysis: Capability analysis of SPP to maintain stability and provide the required voltage support in cases of simulated voltage dips (Fault Ride Through) in the network
  • Mid-term stability: Transient stability assessment after severe system outages
  • Small signal stability analysis
  • Power quality analysis – harmonic distortion and flicker emission.

Type of services provided:

  • Load flow analysis
  • Contingency N-1 analysis
