The sensitivity analyses of voltage conditions comprise the following assessments:

  • Assessment of the influence of existing power plants on voltage control from the following aspects:
    • Technical: The calculation of possibilities to decrease voltages in SS Lastva by engaging non-commercially dispatched generating units in the system of Montenegro for voltage control
    • Financial: The estimation of costs which should be compensated to EPCG in case of engagement of non-commercially dispatched generating units for voltage control
    • Regulatory: Regulatory framework for engagement of non-commercially dispatched generating units
  • Influence of direction of HVDC’s active power on voltage in SS Lastva
  • Influence of NOSBIH system on voltage in SS Lastva
  • Assessment of HVDC’s active power setpoint on voltages and possibilities to change it as one of the remedial actions for voltage control in SS Lastva:
    • Technical: Identification of active power ranges when HVDC system only absorb reactive power
    • Operational: Recommendations about optimal implementation of this remedial action and its influence on regional operational security
    • Financial-Regulatory: The assessment of influence on capacity allocation and ITC mechanism revenues
    • Technical-Regulatory: Treatment of this remedial action in ENTSO-E Network Codes

Type of services provided:

  • Load flow analysis
  • Voltage profile analysis
  • Identification of remedial actions for voltage control and reactive power management
  • Assessment of financial and regulatory framework for voltage control
  • Assessment of influence of HVDC system
