"Smarter Grid" Project for Transmission Losses Optimization, the Study of Transmission System Losses Optimization in Real Time

client: Elektromreza Srbije - EMS (Serbia)

type: Study (Transmission, Policies, Market)

finishing date: December 2015 (June 2016)

team: Consortium EKC - Institute Mihajlo Pupin Automatika (Serbia); EKC team: Maja Marković - Project Manager, M. Vuković – Consultant, M. Ivanović, M. Stojanović

The project aims to facilitate the reduction of costs to cover the power losses in transmission network of JP EMS (Serbian TSO). The study should provide a framework for optimization and evaluation of available possibilities for EMS to reduce electrical losses in transmission, concerning real time management, short-term planning and procurement of electricity to cover the losses.

Type of services provided:

  • Review of legislation and regulations
  • Optimal power flow analysis
  • Optimization of transmission networks from the point of electric power losses and voltage
  • Techno-economic analysis
