Study of Technical Solution for Connection of Wind Farm "Plandište 1“ to the Transmission System of Serbia

client: WP Plandište (Serbia)

type: Study (Renewable, Transmission, Generation)

finishing date: September 2012

team: Dragana Orlic - Project Manager, N. Krajisnik, M. Stojkovic, N. Jovic - Consultant

The study of technical solution of the interconnection of the WPP into transmission system analyses the evacuation of power and energy in the power system of Serbia, taking into account the criteria for safety. This study, using computational models, gives evidence of how and under what conditions it is possible to connect the plant to the power system of Serbia at the planned construction site in all operating regimes. The study also determines the required characteristics of the newly planned production capacity in the expected steady-state and dynamic conditions with confirmation that it meets all safety criteria for the delivery of electricity to transmission system. As a result of simulation analysis, we get the answer of what is to be done in the power system in Serbia, as well as wind farm connection point to ensure the safe delivery of available generation, and what impact the newly-planned production capacity has on the system dynamic performance.
