The aim of the project is to provide the technical assistance to the implementation of cross-border electricity balancing in Western Balkan Six region, in line with the commitment made by Western Balkan countries at the 2015 Vienna WB6 Summit. Main project objectives include: definition of the target models for imbalance netting and balancing energy exchange (mFRR, RR) for the WB6 region in line with EU regulation (EB GL and SO GL), development of regional software platforms for imbalance netting and balancing energy exchange (mFRR, RR), as well as organization of the pilot tests with evaluation of potential implementation benefits. On this basis, final implementation recommendations are defined, as well as the roadmap for regional and EU balancing integration for the WB6 region.
